GDPR & Complaints

GDPR – we’d love to keep in touch

You may have heard a little about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and be wondering what it’s all about?

GDPR

It can be confusing but in essence GDPR is a very good thing! It’s the law that protects you and your data.

It will be the responsibility of the N&N Hospitals Charity to ensure we only ever communicate with you in ways you want us to, and that we only talk with you about things you have said you want to hear about – but you must specify this; how we are to contact you and what to contact you about.

In accordance with the new regulations, if you don’t tell us you’d like to hear from us, we may be unable to contact you about anything to do with our Charity.

So we have made it easy for you to receive information from and about the charity. Just download the form here and send it to us at the Freepost address so that we can update our records and make sure you get the information you want, in the way that you want, whether that be all the latest news on our appeals, the events we are holding and news about how you’re helping us help the patients being treated at our hospitals.

Of course you can change your mind, and your consent, at any time by calling us on 01603 287107, emailing us at fundraising@nnuh.nhs.uk or writing to us at N&N Hospitals Charity, NNUH, Colney Lane, Norfolk NR4 7UY.

Our Complaints Policy

Norfolk & Norwich Hospitals Charity is committed to delivering a high standard of service to anyone who engages with our work.

We are keen to hear from anyone who believes we have fallen short of the high standards we set ourselves.

You can provide you feedback by phone on 01603 287107, email Head of Fundraising louise.cook@nnuh.nhs.uk or our Charity Director

john-paul.garside@nnuh.nhs.uk

Alternatively, following the NNUHFT formal complaints procedure by emailing complaints@nnuh.nhs.uk or by writing to:

Chief Executive, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Colney Lane, Norwich, Norfolk, NR4 7UY.

Our Complaints Procedure is the way we deal with formal complaints where there’s dissatisfaction with our services. See more details of the complaints procedure and how we manage complaints. You can also call the Trust on 01603 289686 or 01603 289684.

See the NHS Complaints policy.

If your complaint is about our fundraising activities and we are unable to resolve it to your satisfaction, you can ask the Fundraising Standards Board, the self regulator for fundraising in the UK, to consider
it by:

Norfolk & Norwich Hospitals Charity is a member of the Fundraising Standards Board and we agree to abide by its decisions. Please note that the Fundraising Standards Board can only consider complaints received within three months of the original incident.

The Fundraising Standards Board will investigate your complaint within 20 working days of receiving it and if you are not satisfied with its conclusions, you can request that their Board of Directors look at it again. Their decision will be made within 60 calendar days, will be final and will be made public.
